Bobby and Deb Kiefer
My wife, Deb and I each have had lengthy careers with the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office; Deb was a Sergeant supervising personnel at the Booking and Intake area of the Sarasota County Jail.
She was also an Accreditation Manager for the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office, who had travelled extensively throughout Florida conducting jail inspections, checking policies, procedures and compliance with Florida Model Jail Standards.
I was a Sergeant supervising deputies in Patrol, Community Policing, Intelligence Led Policing and the Fugitive Apprehension Unit. I worked with our Aviation Unit, Dive Team Unit as a supervisor, Emergency Response Team Leader, and the Marine Unit (I hold a U.S.C.G. Captain’s license). I am also a certified driving instructor and teach at the Suncoast Technical College. We are both retired and looking to keep ourselves involved with the community that we had so proudly served.

Home Watch Specialists
Many things can go wrong at an unattended property. We strongly recommend weekly visits.
Exterior Inspection
Check the integrity of the house:
Visual inspection of exterior of residence; walking the entire perimeter checking roof, fascia, sides of building and screen enclosures for any potential problems.
- Check for signs of forced entry; theft, damage or vandalism (ensure doors and windows are properly locked).
- Inspection of landscaping to verify that the plants, trees and yard are being maintained.
- Check exterior for pest infestation.
Interior Inspection
Inspect for signs of theft, damage or vandalism, integrity of all doors and windows, proper functioning of the security system and air conditioning system, operation of all faucets, flushing all toilets, check for water damage and mold around ceilings, walls, windows, faucets, showers and
under cabinets, pest infestation and any evidence of tripped breakers.
- Check water heater for leaks.
- Check refrigerator and/or freezer.
- Change A/C filter (per request).
- Turn the main water valve off after each visit.
- Start and run car(s) and boat(s) during inspection (if applicable).
- Water indoor plants (if applicable).
- Detailed Checklist Report completed during each home watch visit displaying the condition of your property along with the date it was completed.
- We IMMEDIATELY report to our Client any abnormalities or issues that need immediate attention.
